“I chose to attend this course for two reasons. First, I wanted to learn the hard skills I need to become a data analyst, and second, I was hoping for access to the career coaching available as well. … I gained valuable skills, as well as found a way onto the career path I want to be on.” Benjamin R.
“The KU Data Analytics Boot Camp helped me gain confidence in my ability to use programming to perform more efficient and more complex data analytics. In concert with my work experience, the program allowed me to get past entry-level jobs and find a role in which I will use some SQL and Python.” Andrew S.
“I chose to start the program … to help me transition more into a career of interest such as computer science and medical record management. I am satisfied with my decision because it has opened more opportunities, and now I get to learn more and practice these skills in an occupational setting” Michael C.
“I desperately needed a change of direction in life, and I knew that started with my career. I … decided the KU Data Analytics Boot Camp was my way forward. It was an intense training period and demanding job hunt, but the instructors and curriculum prepared me to get a job that marks a new beginning for me.” Ben A.
In 1866, the University of Kansas welcomed its first class — made of 55 students — to an unfinished building on a treeless ridge called Mount Oread, in eastern Kansas.
Today, our annual enrollment approaches 30,000. From that single building, we have grown to five campuses: the Lawrence Campus, the Edwards Campus in Overland Park, and medical center campuses in Kansas City, Wichita, and Salina. The once barren landscape in Lawrence grew into a wooded campus considered one of the most beautiful in the nation.
We embrace our role as the state’s flagship university and a premier research institution, serving the state, nation, and world. We celebrate the energy and compassion that infuse the Jayhawk spirit, and we remain true to our historic values: the elevating force of education, the transformative power of research, and the healing power of service.
This program is offered through the KU Lifelong & Professional Education unit, in partnership with edX.
